Wise Women Retreats

Summer residential - August 15-18th
Autumn residential - October 10-13th
Winter residential - January 16-19th 2025

A small family business, Wise Women, has emerged, evolved and grown, with tender and loving care from Justine.

Justine is a General Practitioner with an outlet for her calling to care for people through medicine. She has always taken this caring beyond work, as a mother of 4 children and carer for numerous animals in her life. Most recently her talent for nurturing has meant she is a top-rated Airbnb host in Derbyshire.

In conjunction with Miriam, a highly experienced psychotherapist, who specialises in women’s issues, Justine’s vision for Wise Women Retreats has been germinating for decades. Now, with the support of Miriam she is able to bring all her experience to providing a retreat that nurtures a woman’s body and psyche.

Miriam centres her practice around the principles of inclusion, acceptance and compassion and is passionate about developing a profession-wide understanding of working with diversity and difference.

Justine and Miriam create the physical, nurturing space, with unique and individual passion, creating a safe space for body mind and spirit to unravel and rest.

Bespoke therapeutic programmes, primarily for women but some workshops are open to others as well. Miriam is a psychotherapist with over three decades of professional practice and specialisms in women’s mental health and growth.

During the pandemic, Justine was part of Miriam’s online Nourish & Nurture Women’s Wintering Programme with virtual campfires! But Justine wanted real fires, real home-cooked nourishment and to provide physical space for nurture and rest.

Throughout your stay, you will meet both Miriam and Justine on most of the led retreats and Justine alone is your connection person for personal retreat.
